Shank Preview
Shank is 2D side scrolling action come “beat em up” game coming the playstation network, xbox live and pc… It’s Bad Ass!
Not much has been reveled about the story of Shank or the character himself other than its a tale of revenge and it deals alot with Shank trying to come to terms with whats wrong and right in the and where his loyalties lie.
The other juicey bit of information regarding Shank’s story is that when you co-op a new “back story” is added in that fit’s your co-op partner into the action in a way that’s understandable, which makes a nice bloody change from most co-op characters.
Setting story aside though the most eye catching part of Shank with out a doubt has to be it’s Art! It’s stylish, modern, beautifully colored but most of all its appealing to nearly everyone which is an achievment in its own right.
There isnt a person iv shown screen shots or a trailer too who has commented on how cool the art looks. From what iv seen level design hasnt had to take a back seat either, with various area’s from urban to what looks to hell!?
And to top beautiful visuals off the most important part of any action game, bloody amazing gameplay! Shank has gone balls to the wall with the amount of action in this game from launching a guy into the air with a chain saw and unloading 50 bullets into him with hand guns and just blow him away with a shot gun for good measure!
Weapons are not your only option of inflicting pain, oh no. The bad ass that is shank is perfectly capable of throwing your enemies around like rag dolls!
So in a nut shell we have a story line very little has been reveled about but the developers dont want it to be a save the world type vibe, the art kick ass, the game play kicks even more ass and i can tell you know it’ll be the perfect smoke a bowl co-op game with a friend! (or if they dont want to im sure online will have plenty!)
The game is released nextweek tuesday the 24th of August on the PSN & XBLA, think for pc aswell not sure (my pc wouldnt run it :P).
